Spring 2022 sessions will begin on March 1, 2022. If you or someone you know is interested in participating this spring, please call Michelle at 740-223-2999.
Open orientations will be on February 23 at 1:00 pm, February 24 at 5:00 pm, and February 28 at 4:00 pm. Open orientations are for anyone interested in learning what Getting Ahead is about. Attendance is required at one open orientation and interview must be done before beginning sessions on March 1, 2022.
Participants will learn how to identify personal strengths to help build toward self-sufficiency, work to build financial resources, research community resources, set goals to stabilize personal resources, and receive long term support from people, Marion Matters Inc., and the community to help achieve a stable future.
Someone who would be a good fit would be: someone who wants to change their circumstance, maybe they have tried with little or no success, someone willing to partner with the community to build their
support system, must be able to commit to the 13 weeks that makes up the curriculum, or someone that may want to further their education, gain employment, move up at a current job, or even find a new career. Also, must live in Marion County, be over 18 years of age, and not in crisis that would prevent participation.
